My name is Angela Hannah-Scales and I reside in the Metro Jackson, MS area. I was born in Chicago Illinois and when I was young we moved around a lot I stayed on Wabash in the projects , I also used to live off 81st and Walcott with my uncle. I left Chicago at a young age so I pretty much was raised here in Mississippi with my grandmother. When I was about 14 years old. I moved to Peoria, Illinois with my mom and siblings. I remember going to school jumping Double Dutch before school at lunch and after school. So I can honestly say this is where my DD journey begin.

In 2022 one of my closest friends here in Jackson, MS told ne about the DD Club and invited me to attend. This too would also be the year that I was diagnosed with cancer and an October the ladies of the 40+ double Dutch Club of Jackson, MS was introduced to me during the Central MS Strides for Breast Cancer Walk. When I tell you, these ladies made me feel so good I had to join and here I am a 56 year old member of the 40+ Double Dutch club of Jackson, Mississippi.
