I found 40+ Double Dutch about three months into the pandemic lockdown. My school year had just ended online. LA Fitness was closed. My fitbit died of boredom. I was taking my dog on really long walks just to escape the house. Then I noticed on Facebook people were outside having fun.

I dug a little deeper and decided to join. I ordered two shirts-one with and one without my age. Of course by the time they I arrived I was suddenly busy (procrastinating). I made it to the Oak Park sub-club a couple of times before the weather changed and meet-ups ended.

Three months later I was on zoom with my high school classmates when 40+ DDC came up. One of the ladies decided to start a sub-club in the western burbs and I became a co-captain. This group has been a wonderful addition to my life.
