We all love getting together, playing outside and getting a much needed break from all of the stresses that come with “adulting” but to me, the best part of this
40+ Double Dutch Club MOVEMENT is the opportunity it has provided to meet and build relationships with amazing women all over the world!
Selena Cook is one of those phenomenal women! Selena reached out to start a subClub in Como, MS back in 2020. She told Catrina and I right away that she moved down South from Chicago and that God was leading her to help expand the Southern region of 40+ DDC. When Catrina and I made the decision to appoint Delegates to offer more “hands on” assistance to the subClub in their areas- Selena was the obvious choice for the Southern subClubs. In addition to staying in regular communication with all of the Captains, CoCapts and members in her assigned subClubs- she also travels to attend their meetups, makes recommendations to help start subClubs and comes up with ideas to bring more awareness to 40+ DDC in the South! One of her ideas was for 40+ DDC to “paint Beale Street red” during Memphis in May! A few of our Brand Ambassadors and Chicagoland members drove down to meet Selena and some of the members in the South and jump on Beale Street last year during Memphis in May, but Selena wanted to do something bigger this year.

Selena had an idea- but God had a plan that went far beyond anything Selena could have imagined! And we already know what happens when God is in the midst of ANYTHING! We were able to experience friendship, fitness, fun, fellowship and true sisterhood while showcasing our unity!
Catrina and I want to thank Selena for her vision, the amazing team of 40+ DDC Southern region Captains, CoCaptains and members who helped carry out the vision, all of the members from all over the country who travelled by trains, planes, automobiles (and buses!) to attend and God for being the orchestrator of it all! I love the fact that in a city that is already rich with so much history- we came and left our mark! “Jumping all through the land with my Double Dutch team!”
